Lincolnwood Activities
July went by in a hurry, didn’t it? Here in August, we are excited for sunshine and beautiful weather. Our gardens are starting to produce great things for us to enjoy. We have been enjoying radishes, strawberries, kohlrabies, and tomatoes from our garden beds. The flower planters have filled in nicely and are looking beautiful. More veggies we will soon be enjoying will be the green beans, husk ground cherries, eggplant, kale, and patty pan squash, as well as many more tomatoes.
Birthdays we are celebrating in August include Jan Tschirgi, and staff members Kathy Pickart, Judy Wulfekuhle, and Aspen Jones.
We wish Lucas Rezendez the best of luck at University of Iowa as he heads off to college this fall. Finally, it is with deep sadness that we had to say goodbye to a dear friend of ours, Sara Ohrtman. We celebrated Sara’s life with a family and friend memorial service at Lincolnwood.
As always if you are interested in volunteering, please let me know. The tenants always enjoy having friends and family visit and participate in the activities with everyone. Continue to wear a mask in common areas of Lincolnwood and the doors remain open to the public.
See you soon!
