Fall is almost here, which means pumpkin everything!

Here is a yummy Cream Cheese Pumpkin Bar recipe that our residents love.

The filling: 8oz cream cheese, ¼ C sugar, 1 egg, ½ t vanilla

The Batter: 1 C pumpkin puree, 1 C sugar, 1 egg, 1/3 C oil, 1 C flour, 1.5 t pumpkin pie spice, 1 t baking powder, ½ t baking soda, ½ t salt.

Cream together all ingredients for the filling and set aside. Combine all wet ingredients for the batter and then add the dry ingredients. Pour into a greased 9x13 pan. Scoop the cream cheese filling onto the batter and use a toothpick or knife to spread it out resembling a marble look.

Right now is also a great time of the year to go to your local pumpkin patch and farmers markets!
