Welcome November! The days are getting cooler and on Nov. 7th daylight savings will come to an end and the clocks will get rolled back an hour.

We have been staying busy here in the activity department. We have been doing many 1:1 activities. Hopefully one day soon we can get back to our group activities so we can see all of ours friends.

This month so many different things will be going on. To start off we are going to make tissue flowers. These will surely last the months to come. We continue to do our twice a week exercise regimen. The residents like to get their bodies moving. We will continue with Hallway BINGO until we can get back to group BINGO. The residents still enjoy being able to do this. We continue to have church services via streaming the church Facebook sites.

In November we honor all our Veterans. We here at ECH and at Lincolnwood will have a small ceremony for them. Each Veteran will receive a certificate and a pin and many thanks for their dedication and service to their country. The residents will also be making Thank-You ornaments to pass out to the residents.

Winding down the month of November we will be getting ready for Thanksgiving and discussing what we are thankful for. I am thankful for my family and my extended family here at ECH and to be able to put a smile on their faces each day. Can you think of some of the many things that you are thankful for?

As a reminder, our doors may be closed for indoor visiting but please remember you can call your loved ones and talk on the telephone, set up a FaceTime call so you can see your loved ones, and you may do a window visit at their room window. Please call ahead prior to this so that we can let them know that you will be arriving and can have them face the window.
