Hello from the Lincolnwood Activities!

Wow is all I can say right now. Where has the year gone that we are in November? Things have been hopping here at Lincolnwood as we are now a full house! I would like to welcome all the new faces in our building Jim McKenna, Charlene Rodas, Mona Perrinjaquet, Ilo Rhines, Chuck Renfrow, and Jean Zittergruen.

November is going to be the start of the holiday season, so we will be doing a ton of Thanksgiving and Christmas prep around the building.

The tenants have decided to do a cookie/candy swap. Please send your loved one’s favorite cookie or candy recipe and we will be making them as for our cooking class activities. We will then swap with each other to enjoy a variety of cookies/candies so all tenants can enjoy a from one another. Recipes can be sent to tromig@edgewoodconvalescenthome.com or dropped off to your loved one or the Assisted Living office.

In November we will celebrate four tenant birthdays for Doug Swanson-5th, Maxine Hansel-5th, Marilyn Kinyon-19th, and Carol State-19th. We celebrate two staff/volunteer birthdays this month as well Angie Brogan (AL Director) and Colleen Romig (volunteer).

We are honored to serve our veterans in our building as well Lavern Moorman, John Thurn, Dean Refle, Jim McKenna, and Chuck Renfrow. We want to extend our gratitude to those that served on the home front as well as those serving now.

As always we are open for visitors daily with doors being open until 10 pm and masks are encouraged but are optional. If you are interested in volunteering let me know.
