Lincolnwood Activities
I can’t believe it is already September! The year is flying by.
This month Lincolnwood celebrates National Assisted Living Week September 12-18! To celebrate we are doing many community-based activities. Monday we are baking chocolate chip cookies and will be bagging them up for staff and local businesses. Wednesday, tenants will be painting kindness rocks that we will place throughout the community on our facility golf cart. Our hope is to brighten someone’s day when finding the brightly colored rock. If you find a rock around town, we would love for you to post a picture with it to our facility Facebook page. Tuesday afternoon staff and tenants will pair up to play some minute to win it games. To wrap up the week we will be having a Tailgate Party in our parking lot with fun games, appetizers, and drinks. Each day we have a theme that tenants, and staff are encouraged to dress like! We encourage the community to dress along with us and post to our Facebook page!
Monday- Pajama Day
Tuesday- Hat Day
Wednesday- Hawaiian Day
Thursday- Tie-Dye Day
Friday- Favorite Sports Team Day
At Lincolnwood Assisted Living we know how important it is for the tenants to learn new things and participate in all the fun exercises and activities we have going on. This month we will be trying out a new recipe, ice cream bread. This recipe was brought to us by a tenant, so of course we had to give it a try! This month we are also starting up our bus trips again. Bus trips may include going on a scenic drive, taking the bus to a park for a picnic, or visiting a store to do some shopping or anything else suggested by tenants or families.
Make it a great month!
